5th May 2013 gangsters stole €350,000 worth of security glass.

On 5th May gangsters broke into the premises of a company located in Oelsnitz/Vogtland (state of Saxony, some 25 km from the Czech border) and stole two trailers loaded with security glass worth a total of €350,000. Police reckon that the criminals were well informed beforehand about the prescence of the two  loaded trailers which they attached to their own(stolen?) tractors before making off unnoticed. The nearby A72/E441 motorway probably helped the thieves in getting away quickly. Severeal other cargo thefts were reported during that same weekend from other spots (unsecured lay-bys and parking areas) in the same region near the A72/E441 motorway,at Plauen Lengeneld and Falkenstein. Here thieves cut the canvas of a total of ine trailers and stole various types of cargo worth €17,000, according to German Police sources." We don't exclude the possibility that all those thefts are related". a spokesperson of the German Police is quoted as sayng in the German press.
