Dear TAPA
members, colleagues, friends and guests,
Welcome to TAPA EMEA’s Q2 registration
web pages, amongst which, you should find out all your need
to know about our
next conference, including how to register for the event.
Following on from our Q1 conference, which was held at the
UN European HQ in Geneva, I am pleased to announce that our
Q2 conference with be held on the 9th June, at the Crown Plaza
Hotel in Brussels, in the heart of the EU.
Brussels is the capital of Belgium, and the administrative
centre of the European Union. This has earned the city the
title of the Capital of Europe. Brussels has been given its
character by the coexistence of French and Flemish culture,
and it is nowadays home to nationalities from around the world,
adding a cosmopolitan flavour to its atmosphere. The vibrant
atmosphere of Brussels is further enhanced by picturesque medieval
streets, lively squares, beautiful boulevards, impressive monuments,
spacious parks, cosy cafés, interesting restaurants
and an active cultural life.
The theme of the conference will centre on secured parking,
and also on the responses to protect cargo, in light of threats
that arose last year with the attempted terrorist attacks using
cargo as its medium.
The Hotel we have chosen, The Crown Plaza Le Palace, is located
next to the botanical gardens, and close to the Brussels Midi
train station, terminal of the Eurostar train and Thalys train.
Please register as soon as possible using the registration
pages on this site. Accommodation will be allocated on strictly
first come first served basis, and as we are expecting a large
number of delegates, please book as soon as possible
The conference will commence with registration on Wednesday
8th June, for those of you who have arrived. Registration will
open again early on Thursday morning, and after the conference
there will be a social event, where the famous TAPA Lottery
will take place, so please be generous, if you have items to
donate, please let Sara or Shan know on info@tapaemea.com.
I look forward to welcoming you all personally in Brussels,
where I am sure you will have a worthwhile time and enjoy meeting
old acquaintances, making new contacts and hearing from a diverse
and interesting set of speakers.
